Pitta Bread
  • 310ml Water
  • 500g unbleached flour
  • 2tsp easy-blend yeast
  • 25g butter
  • 1/2tsp salt
  1. Add all the ingredients in that order to the bread machine, set it on the dough setting and turn on.
  2. Pre-heat the oven to 220c
  3. Roll them out to 12 rounds on a lightly dusted surface
  4. Put them on a baking tray a few at a time and sprinkle with a little flour (cover the remaining ones with a tea towel)
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes. While they are baking prepare the next pittas. When cooked (lightly brown and puffy) wrap with another tea towel to keep them soft.
