  • 1 mug caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
  1. Cream the butter and sugar together
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together
  3. Whisk egg and add it slowley to the butter and sugar mixture
  4. Add vanilla
  5. Add flour, baking powder and salt
  6. Mix together
  7. Roll out the dough between 2 pieces of baking parchment.
  8. Put the rolled out dough on a baking tray and leave to chill in the fridge for an hour or so.
  9. Cut into circles (or whatever shape you're after) and put back on the baking tray to chill in the fridge for up to an hour.
  10. Pre-heat the oven to 180c
  11. Bake for 10 minutes or so until they start to go brown.
  12. Let them cool to room temperature before decorating.
