Ingredients
  • 115g butter
  • 1tbsp golden syrup
  • 60g caster sugar
  • 115g drinking chocolate
  • 225g digestive biscuits
  • 60g milk chocolate
Instructions
  1. Put the butter, golden syrup, caster sugar and drinking chocolate into a saucepan and melt on a low heat.
  2. While the sugar is dissolving in the saucepan, put the biscuits in a bag and bash with a rolling pin to form crumbs and a few small chunks.
  3. When the butter has melted and the sugar dissolved, take off the heat and mix in the digestive biscuits until all covered.
  4. Line a 20cm x 20cm (or equivalent) baking tin with grease-proof paper and press the mixture in making sure it reaches all teh edges.
  5. Break the milk chocolate into small pieces and melt in a microwave.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the mixture and smooth over with a palate knife.
  7. Cut into squares and put the tin into the fridge to set.
  8. Re-cut into squares using the lines you made earlier.
  9. The recipe makes about 16, but unfortunately these were devoured before I managed to get a good shot of them, better luck next time!
