  • 1 kg apples pealed, cored and chopped into roughly 2cm cubes
  • splash Lemon Juice
  • 125 g golden caster sugar
  • 1 roll ready roll puff pastry
  • 80 g milk chocolate grated
  • 1 egg white whisked

Instructions
  1. Unroll the pastry and pour the grated chocolate over one half of the pastry.
  2. Fold the pastry over and roll it out so that the two halves bond together and put in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  3. Add enough water to just cover the bottom of a large sauce pan.
  4. Add in a dash of lemon juice, give it a stir, then add the chopped apples and 100g of the sugar and put on a low heat to soften them.
  5. Leave the apples to cool.
  6. Preheat the fan oven to 170c
  7. Take out the pastry and cut to 1 inch wide strips.
  8. When the apples have cooled, lay the pastry over the filling weaving each section in and out.
  9. Cook for 15 minutes and serve with a large dollop of ice-cream.
